Panel Screen Sunago Sheer
SUNAGO SHEER is a summer fabric which is the transparent material used for summer clothing. It is called “SHA” or “RO” and is one of the “MOJIRI-ORI (Leno weave) textiles. Small gaps are formed in the fabric by twisting the warp, thus creating a light and cool material, which is eminently suitable for midsummer and which has been popular in Japan for a long time. This way of weaving is one of the representative methods at KAJI KINRAN. In Japanese SUNAGO is a pattern with a scattering gold and silver dust. This kind of ornamentation is often used for Japanese lacquerware. By expressing SUNAGO in textiles a three-dimensional effect is achieved by the difference in density of the gold and silver threads that give the fabric its distinctive texture. Depending on the threads used the appearance of the fabric changes dramatically.
